These days I participate to a product testing campaign.
I really enjoy it at this time because we’re talking about Covalact Organic Dairy Products.
Anyway, I liked the brand, but the possibility to test the Bio range really delighted me. Of course I started with milk. After all, all products are based on it, right?
This milk have 3.7% fat and the taste is just perfect. Being, therefore, convinced that all the others are good, I made a recipe that contains many types of dairy products.
Burek – Filo Pastry Pie
The filling of a Burek Pie consists of one part grated cheese and two parts anything else you like (spinach and onions, mushrooms and carrots, meat and onions ..)
I made today with cheese, mushrooms and carrots.
Burek – Filo Pastry Pie
Ingredients
- 400 g filo pastry sheets
Sauce
- 1 yogurt
- 1 egg
- 50 ml milk
Filling
- 300 g cheese
- 500 g mushrooms
- 30 g butter
- 2 carrots
Instructions
- Saute the sliced mushrooms with 30 g butter. When cooled, mix with grated cheese and carrots.
- Mix the yogurt with the egg and milk.
- Grease the pan with vegetable oil and cover with 4 pastry sheets.
- Place 6 sheets over them, soaked in yogurt as you can see in video. Put the filling over them.
- Cover with the rest of pastry sheets. Before the last sheet put 50 gr butter, cut into small pieces.
- Brush with yolk.
- Bake for an hour on low heat.
