Romanian Crumble Cake – Grated Cake
Equipment
- 30x20cm baking tray
Ingredients
Dough
- 250 gr margarine for cakes (or butter)
- 3 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp confectioners sugar
- 3 tbsp sour cream
- 100 g all purpose flour
- 80-100 g all purpose flour for kneading
Topping
- 400 g marmalade or jam
- 3 egg whites
- 3 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Make a fairly hard dough, keep a quarter of it to be grated on top.
- Spread a sheet, put it in the greased tray.
- Spread jam and whipped egg whites.
- Grate the dough on top. You have to mix again this dough with flour or keep it in the freezer to be good for grating.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 35-40 minutes or until nicely browned on top.
